More Synthetic Oils in Automotive Care

As the general automotive industry evolves into as specialty lubricants one. Synthetic lubricants are at the forefront, creating a new era of engine care. Their advanced formulation offers unprecedented benefits, stretching beyond the capabilities of traditional motor oils. Synthetics promise enhanced performance and a commitment to protect engines even under the most demanding conditions. With the ability to maintain their properties across a wide range of temperatures, synthetic oils ensure engines run smoother, longer, and more efficiently. Maxmo believes, that the transition to synthetic lubricants is a clear indicator of the industry’s dedication to innovation and superior vehicle maintenance.

What is a Synthetic Oil, and why does Maxmo Lubricants focus on producing synthetic oils?

Synthetic oils are developed using advanced chemical processes that reconstruct petroleum molecules into uniform structures, offering consistent quality. This is for us as Maxmo very important. Synthetic oils come as either fully synthetic or as a blend, combining the uniformity of synthetic oils with the cost-effectiveness of conventional mineral oils (called semi-synthetic lubricants). Theuse of specialized additives in full synthetics provides enhanced protection, slowing oil degradation significantly compared to semi-synthetic or mineral lubricants.

In performance tests, synthetic oils outperformed traditional oils by nearly half. They excelled in critical areas like stability under stress, resistance to deposit formation, and performance under extreme temperatures. Full-synthetic oils have brought conventional oils into question, particularly considering some potential drawbacks of the latter, such as less effective performance in severe cold or under intense engine stress.

Advantages of Synthetic Oils

Advantages

  • Resistant to oxidation and chemical degradation
  • Withstands temperature extremes better (cold & Hot)
  • Flows better at cold temperatures
  • May produce less slidge and surface deposits
  • Longer Chainge Intervals
  • More film thickness at higher temperature/high loads

Disadvantages

  • More expensive than mineral oils
  • Possible additive seperation
  • Slightly lower fuel economy at highway speeds

Why Maxmo synthetic Automotive Oils outperform

Synthetic lubricants have a high viscosity index, ensuring minimal change in viscosity with temperature fluctuations, which is crucial for maintaining a protective film over engine components in your vehicles. In frigid conditions, mineral oils can thicken excessively, potentially causing engine damage due to inadequate lubrication.• Synthetic lubricants have lower volatility, reduce their depletion through the exhaust and decrease the environmental impact. One of the main reasons for synthetic oil’s popularity is its extended lifespan, allowing for longer intervals —typically 5,000 to 7,000 miles— between oil changes, and some formulations can even go up to intervals as long as 15,000 to 25,000 miles. Maxmo wants to keep on outperforming traditional lubricants in the market and therefore we are always combining new additive and base oils in order to create the best specialty automotive lubricant for your vehicle.

For which vehicles should we use Maxmo Synthetic automotive specialty lubricants?

As mentioned, extreme conditions and worst-case scenarios demand the use of synthetics. Below are the passenger car applications that Maxmo believes are ideally suited for our synthetics motor oils:

High Performance Engines
There are many examples of high-end sports cars and even SUVs where the investment is high, as is the expectation of engine performance and reliability.
High Performance Driving
If you are involved in motor sports, then you will pay a premium for a competitive edge - power, endurance and engine reliability
Luxury Cars
Some luxury sedans are so expensive, it would clash with common sense to use anything other than a synthetic.
Extreme cold starts
Certain synthetics can handle cold starts with no cranking or oil pressure problems at temperatures as low as -40°C (-40°F).
Extended drain intervals
If you’ve done the math (cost/benefit analysis) and believe your car, driving habits and climate conditions collectively are the perfect can didate for extended oil drains, synthetics give you the best shot and a safety margin.
Long Engine Life
The vast majority of the driving public have never owned a car with more than 200,000 miles on the engine. Many of us are genuinely not compelled to share the experience. Yet there is a large number of auto enthusiasts out there who try to get every last mile out of their car.
